Position Overview
Integrated Strategic Partners is seeking a motivated Intern to join our team. This internship is open to students in their final year of university as well as recent graduates. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and critical thinker with a keen interest in public policy, government, and strategic research.
As an Intern, you will work closely with partners and consultants to support high-impact client work through research, analysis, and drafting. This role offers hands-on experience across a wide range of sectors, including developers, municipalities, non-profits, post-secondary institutions, defence and education clients, professional associations, and more.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in research, policy analysis, and strategic advisory work within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on policy, legislation, political developments, and industry trends
- Draft and edit briefing notes, policy summaries, and strategic documents for internal and client use
- Monitor legislative and regulatory activity to identify emerging issues and opportunities
- Provide analytical and administrative support to partners and consultants
- Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and client communications
- Conduct grant research and provide support to clients at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Currently completing a bachelor’s degree (final year) or recently graduated in Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, Economics, Business, Media Studies, or a related field
- Demonstrated interest or experience in research and writing (academic, internship, or extracurricular experience considered)
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
- High attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information
- Interest in government, public affairs, and legislative or business processes
- Ability to thoughtfully use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance productivity and research quality, where appropriate
