His work has focused on translating complex issues into accessible and actionable insights for both professional and public audiences, whether through policy analysis, legal and academic research, or editorial writing.
At ISP, Nathan supports client files through policy and legislative research, monitoring of government developments, and preparation of written briefing materials for consultants across the firm’s practice areas.
Prior to joining ISP, Nathan worked as a Legal Fellow with Speak Out & Up Law in Hawaii, where he supported the managing attorney with client intake, community engagement, legal research, and trial preparation in family law, immigration, and civil rights matters.
Nathan has also held a range of research and editorial roles, including Research Assistant in the University of Toronto’s Political Psychology Lab and Deputy Editor of the Journal of Psychology and Law. He previously served as Partnerships Associate and Editor-in-Chief at UofT AI, where he built strong industry partnerships and wrote regularly on developments in artificial intelligence and their broader social and policy implications.
Nathan holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, where he double-majored in Political Science and Psychology. As an undergraduate, he was a Dean’s List Scholar and was selected as a Laidlaw Research and Leadership Scholar, a United Nations Millennium Fellow, and he served as president of a large student group.
Now back in Edmonton, Nathan enjoys spending his free time playing and coaching volleyball, playing piano and guitar, and volunteering in his local community.
