Marty von Wuthenau
Principal – Ontario East
Marty is a strategic communications and public affairs specialist whose senior-level experience spans politics, cooperative financial services, consumer products, and professional sports. He has previously served as President of Public Affairs and as Vice-President at public affairs agencies, where he advised clients on complex regulatory, government affairs, and stakeholder management issues.
As Principal for Ontario – East, Marty brings that consulting depth to ISP clients, helping them navigate regulatory challenges, engage governments effectively, manage stakeholder relationships that determine whether initiatives move forward and build teams to expand agency growth.
Before his move to consulting, Marty spent five years in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he ran Market Regulatory Campaign Support on the global team at Philip Morris International, one of the world’s largest consumer products companies. There he built bespoke regulatory campaigns for markets around the world based on his signature methodology.
Earlier in his career, Marty spent more than seven years developing government relations and strategic communications strategies in Canada’s cooperative financial services sector. He also built and led the strategic communications team for a professional sports franchise in New York City.
Marty receives regular media, business, and code of conduct training, and holds a degree in Political Science from Brock University.
In addition to living abroad, Marty and his wife Leanna enjoy travelling and exploring other cultures. On his off time you’ll either find Marty exploring indie music or on stage somewhere in Ontario playing his bass guitar in his band.
